Stories

Heyo petite queens,

Sharing a quick update with you on what’s happening in the Unseam the Label world.

In our last update, I talked about why we opted for 3D prototyping and how we used the patterns based on the renderings to ensure fit for petites. Many of you showed so much excitement and sent us encouraging words over that update - you sure know how to tug at our heartstrings.

Since then, we partnered with an amazing sample-maker (stay tuned for a whole other story on that later) and started on some GORGEOUS style samples, which we’ll give you sneak peeks of soon (woo hoo!).

We’re at a point where we need to test the fit of each style sample on a petite fit model to perfect the pieces, but won’t be doing so at the moment. While we wait for the COVID-19 pandemic to clear up and adhere to the CDC’s safety guidelines on social distancing, we’re temporarily putting style development on hold.

But I’m going to deal it to you straight - this isn’t just another COVID-19 update from another brand. During this season of uncertainty, continuing to show up, staying connected, and staying in(spired) is so important to us.

Petite queens - The stream of holidays may be long over now, but that doesn’t mean I can’t give you the gift of sneak peeks.

I’m sharing exclusive partial snapshots today in the form of 3D prototypes of the styles in our premier collection. The snapshots don't represent the final looks of each piece since we'll need to make adjustments as we test fit and get a feel of the overall look, but they'll give you a good idea. This includes our maxi dress, sleeveless jumpsuit, and paperbag waist pants (yay!).

Not to digress, but did I just say 3D prototypes? What the?

Let me explain (trust me, it’s cool!).

Hey y’all,

Diana here, your fellow petite friend. First of all, a big thank you for coming along on my journey to bring Unseam the Label to the world. It's been a crazy ride filled with endless ideas-turned-sketches, matcha-induced late nights and mood boards with fabric, colors, and prints... but I couldn't be more proud of where we ended up. And I'm so excited for YOU to see!

As we swing into full-blown launch mode, I wanted to provide you guys with some super cool updates on where things are and where we're going with this brand.
